As season openers go, Thursday proved to be a solid start for the RCSJ Men's Soccer team. The Roadrunners raced to a commanding halftime lead while playing flawless defense in cruising to a 7-0 victory over visiting Delaware County Community College.

Robert Piontkowski netted 2 goals while teammate Connor Hernandez collected 1 goal and 2 assists as the Coach George Hobbins' team claimed a quick 7-0 first half lead.

That's where the final score ended as the host team grabbed their first win of the 2023 campaign.

Also scoring goals for the winners were Jerry Green, Owen Strohm, Anthony Delgado and Jonathan Cerino.

Three goalkeepers -- Joseph Lomas, Collin Peters and Anthony Porcelli -- combined for the shutout.

Next up for Runners will be an away match vs. Camden County College at Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday, August 29th in a 7 pm game.
