Pierman Is Solid as Roadrunner Women's Basketball Hangs on to Defeat Montgomery County

Shannon Pierman scored 18 points and pulled down 11 rebounds while Anna Dipiero added 10 key points to lift the Roadrunner Women's Basketball team to a 51-50 win over host Montgomery County CC.

The Runners led by as many as 10 points in the second half before the Mustangs narrowed the gap in the closing moments. RCSJ's Aaliyah Bateman then sank a free throw for her only point of the game, and it proved to be the game-winner!

"This was not our best effort of the season," said Head Coach Rich Cooper, "We were a lot taller than Montgomery, but they kept up the pressure and hit some big shots. We showed our resiliency and didn't let it slip away."

The Runners improve to 5-1 overall, They will return to action following the Thanksgiving holiday when they host Bergen Community College on Dec, 3.
