Barrie Scores First Collegiate Goal to Help Men's Soccer Blank Manor CC 2-0

Thanks to some more aggressive and heads up play on offense, the RCGC Men's Soccer team defeated visiting Manor CC (PA) by a 2-0 score on September 19.

Dylan Skidmore (Glassboro) and Osman Barrie (Collingswood) scored the goals while Chris Lenahan (Schalick) earned the shutout in the nets.

Barrie's goal was the first of his collegiate career.

"We've been struggling but today we moved the ball around and we were looking for each other," said Barrie. "That really helped our offense."

Despite a steady rain in the second half, the Roadrunners' offense kept up a steady attack and refused to yield.

"Overall we played well and we were looking more for the back of the net," said head coach George Hobbins. "That made a huge difference."

Hobbins' team improved to 4-5 overall with the win. The Roadrunners next host County College of Morris on Saturday at 12 noon.
