Midfielders Francesco Fazzolari (Glassboro) and Justin Phy (Triton) each scored first half goals, and the Roadrunners never looked back as they held on for a 2-0 victory over visiting Bergen Monday afternoon in a key Region XIX and Garden State Athletic Conference match.

Fazzolari kicked off the scoring with a goal 5 minutes into the opening period with an assist from Anthony Macklin (y Eastern Regional) while Phy made it 2-0 on a goal assisted by Joe Niemiec (Sicklerville, Roman Catholic) at the 13:00 mark.

The win improved the Runners' overall record to 8-5-1 and 5-3-1 in the conference.

Freshman goalkeeper Connor Rink (Haddon Heights) registered the shutout with a pair of saves to earn the win.

Next up for coach George Hobbins' team is a home match Thursday vs. Lackawanna College starting at 2 pm.
