RCGC Topples Middlesex CC

RCGC Topples Middlesex CC

Following a tough home defeat against Bergen County last weekend, the RCGC women's basketball team found their shooting touch once again Tuesday night.

Coach Rich Cooper's team received plenty of offensive spark during an 81-28 win over visiting Middlesex County in a Garden State Athletic Conference win, and the Runners hope this pattern will continue.

Thanks to the return of second-year guard Tierah Bush (Woodrow Wilson), the Roadrunners' offense clicked well and they clicked often.  Freshman guard Kadinah Harris-Hood (Atlantic City) led a balanced scoring attack with 18 points followed by Bush with 14 and forward Danielle Schaw (Overbrook) and guard Taylor Carter (Sterling) with 10 apiece.

The win improved the Runner's record 5-3 overall and 4-1 within the conference. RCGC has won four of their last 5 games after dropping the first two of the season on the road.

The Roadrunners travel to Brookdale for a tough one against the Jersey Blues on Thursday night in a 5 pm start.
