Roadrunner Women's Basketball Celebrates Return to Home Court with Win Over Harcum College!

Home sweet home proved to be a welcoming environment for the RCSJ Gloucester Women's Basketball team Monday night.

Competing in their home opener, the No. 10 nationally ranked Roadrunners rallied to post a 58-45 triumph over visiting Harcum College to run their overall record to 6-0 this winter.

"It's nice just to have a game on our own home court," said Runners' coach Rich Cooper. "We've played well on the road -- but it's great to be home."

In a contest that was just recently added to the schedule, three players finished in double figures, including guard Qeiajae Canty with 14 points, forward Trina Deveney-Bethea with 13, and guard Jilonne Daley with 11.

The Runners held a slim 15-11 lead after the first period but fell behind 31-30 at halftime. In the second half, the home team outscored the Bears by a 28-14 count to secure the victory.

Coach Cooper's team also learned earlier in the day that they had entered the NJCAA Division III National Rankings for the first time this winter in the No. 10 spot.

Next up for RCSJ will be a home contest on Saturday, December 4 against Montgomery CCC (PA) in a 12 noon start.
