Holmes, Canty, and Carr Lead Roadrunner Women to Victory at Bergen CC

Kyleah Holmes and Qeiajae Canty dropped in 13 points apiece while Zaniyah Carr chipped in 12 to lift the Roadrunner Women's Basketball team to an 83-38 triumph over host Bergen Community College Thursday night in a Garden State Athletic Conference contest.

Coach Rich Cooper's, No. 6 in the NICAA Division III National Rankings, improved to 9-0 overall as they continue their unbeaten campaign.

After the two teams battled to a 17-17 tie after one period, the Runners outscored the home team by a 27-12 margin in the second half to take a commanding 44-29 halftime lead. RCSJ also outscored Bergen, 39-11, in the second half.

Next up for the Runners will be a road match at Brookdale Community College on Saturday in a 12 noon start.

Roadrunner Men's Basketball wins their fifth straight with a hard-fought 80-73 win at Bergen County in a key GSAC and Region 19 battle. Runners improve to 8-5 overall.
