No. 6 Ranked Roadrunner Women's Basketball Defeats Montgomery CCC, Eyes Tough Week Ahead

Freshman forward Danielle Jeffreys scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Roadrunner women's basketball team to an easy 92-17 triumph over visiting Montgomery CCC on Saturday.

RCSJ saw six players reach double figures, including Julianna Montero, Madison Dulude and Qeiajae Canty with 12 each, as well as Crystal Johnson and Nyasia Clark with 10 apiece.

The Roadrunners, who are ranked No. 6 nationally in NJCAA Division III, improved to 15-2 overall with a tough week ahead. Coach Rich Cooper's squad will square off at home against No. 5 ranked Monroe College on Tuesday, Jan. 25, followed by County College of Morris on Jan. 27, and at No. 9 Hostos CC on Jan. 29.

"It's going to be as challenging week ahead of us and hopefully a lot of fun," said Coach Cooper. "It's great to play nationally ranked teams at this point of the season to help us prepare for the tournament."
