Clark, Jeffreys Turn up Heat in Fourth Quarter to Rally Roadrunner Women Past Camden CC

When you're hot, you're hot! Just ask Jonaysia Clark and Danielle Jeffreys.

The two Roadrunner Women's Basketball standouts turned up the heat Tuesday night during the fourth quarter, scorching host Camden County College for a combined 25 points to open up a commanding lead in the Runners' 67-53 triumph.

Clark netted 13 of her 21 points in the period while Jeffreys pumped in 12 of her 16, including a pair of key three-point baskets in the final moments of play. RCSJ, now 13-3 overall this season, outscored the Cougars, 29-14, in the frame to seal the win.

"We don't like to lose -- we're very competitive," said Jeffreys of her late heroics. "Whoever has the ball, and tonight it was me, will be looking to put in the basket."

The two teams entered halftime with Camden County holding a 27-22 advantage. The Runners outscored the Cougars 16-12 in the third period before erupting for 29 points in the final period for the win.

Next up for Coach Rich Cooper's team will be a road match at Sussex County Community College in a 12 noon tip off Saturday.
