Roadrunner Women's Basketball Comes Up Short as Brookdale Grabs Home Win

Freshman guard Jonaysia Clark led Roadrunner scorers with 14 points, but it wasn't enough as No. 10 nationally ranked RCSJ suffered a 66-59 setback to host Brookdale Community College Thursday.

The Runners held a slim 32-29 halftime lead, but the Jersey Blues rallied to outscore the visitors, 13-9, in the the third period and 24-18 in the fourth quarter to pull out the win.

Rahkhia Mack led all scorers with 24 points while teammate Ava Myskowski pumped in 20 points to lead the Jersey Blues' offensive assault.

"Brookdale played an exceptional game," said Roadrunner Coach Rich Cooper. "We played hard but made too many mistakes against a good team.

RCSJ dropped to 14-4 overall with the loss.

Next up for the Runners will be a road game at Bergen County CC Saturday in a 12 noon tipoff.
