Clark, Rosa Take Charge as No. 14 Roadrunner Women Outlast Brookdale CC

Freshman Jonaysia Clark scored all 13 of her points in the second half as the Roadrunner Women's Basketball team hung on for a 64-60 triumph over visiting Brookdale Community College Saturday, avenging and earlier loss to Jersey Blues on Jan. 26th.

The Runners held leads of up to 10 points throughout the game, but relied on their defense to halt a Jersey Blues' rally late in the second half. Guard Faith Rosa proved clutch at the free throw line, hitting on her first six foul shots in finishing with 9 points.

Forward Danielle Jeffreys pumped in a key three-pointer late in the second half to give the Runners a 29-22 halftime lead.

The No. 14 nationally ranked Runners improved record to 16-5 overall and 10-2 in the Garden State Athletic Conference. Next up will be a home game vs. Northampton County on Feb. 9 in a 5 pm start.
