Roadrunner Women's Basketball Drops One-Point Decision to Northampton CC as Final Shot Falls Short

Forward Danielle Jeffreys and center Riley Starke scored 13 points apiece, but it wasn't enough as the Roadrunner Women's Basketball team dropped a heart-breaking 52-51 decision to visiting Northampton Thursday night.

Guard Jonaysia Clark also added 10 to the scoring effort for RCSJ.

Northampton, led by Zoe Cruz's 14 points, outscored the Runners 14-5 in the fourth quarter to rally for the win. With 11.8 seconds remaining, the Runners attempted a final shot for the win, but it fell short as the Spartans held on to the rebound to escape with the victory. 

RCSJ led by a 46-38 score aftyer three quarters. 

The Runners, now 16-6 overall, will next face Middlesex College in a 12 pm home game Saturday.
