Roadrunner Women's Basketball Back in Action with Home Game vs.Sussex County Following Layoff

The Roadrunner Women's Basketball returns to the court Saturday with a home game vs. Sussex County CC in an 11:30 am tipoff. The Runners hope to notch their first win of the season following a tough start in the Onondaga Tournament in New York earlier this month when they competed against NJCAA nationally ranked teams.

"It was a great opportunity to see how we would work together with each other -- and even though we didn't play any scrimmages before that tournament, we bonded well," said Coach Rich Cooper.

Two returning starters, guard Faith Rosa and Destiny Hines, are anxious to get their team on a winning path.

"We have a lot of talent and we're anxious to show what we can do" said Rosa, a sophomore.

"The layoff we've had to start this season has been hard to deal with, but once we start playing a regular schedule, we';; definitely win our share," said Hines.

The Runnrrs will follow with a home game vs. Lehigh Carbon on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
