The RCGC Men's Basketball Team climbed to No. 5 in the NJCAA Division III National Rankings for the second time this winter when the rankings were released on February 12. 

Following that news, Coach Will Wareham's team traveled to Ocean County College, despite the inclement weather, and turned back the host Vikings 94-79 in a Garden State Athletic Conference/Region XIX contest Tuesday night. The GSAC champions Runners improved to 26-3 overall and 18-2 in the conference. 

Leading the Runnes' offensive attack were forwards Stevynjaamad Hawkins with 25 points, Luciano Lubrano with 24, and Ja'Zere Noel with 17. Noel also pulled down 16 rebounds in the winning effort. 

The Runners trailed Ocean County in a tight battle, 44-42 at halftime, before putting it away by outscoring the host team 52-35 in the second half.

Next Up for the No. 5 Roadrunners will be a road game at Northampton CC Thursday at 7 pm.

RCGC previously held the No. 6 spot in the D-III Rankings. but moved up after it clinched the GSAC crown with a win over Union last weekend.
