No. 11 Runners Turn Up Heat, Take Down No. 10 Ranked Montgomery CC on Road for Key Win!

It took awhile to get their game moving in the right direction, but the No. 11 nationally ranked Roadrunner Men's Basketball team did the job and took away perhaps their biggest win of the season Thursday night.

After falling behind in the first half, Coach Rich Casey's finally caught up and never looked back, grabbing a huge 72-61 victory over No. 10 and host Montgomery County College (PA). Thanks to a 13-0 second-half run, RCSJ used solid play from guards Eriq Campbell, Khayri Ransom and Quantavious Rogers to notch the signature win.

"Montgomery played a strong game, and we were in their house," noted Casey, a first year Runners' coach. "But the bottom line is we stepped up, especially on defense when we needed to make a statement."

Campbell led all scorers with 17 points, adding 3 steals and 3 blocks. Rogers collected 14 points 7 assists and 4 defensive rebounds while Ransom added 15 points and 3 steals to the triumph.

The schedule gets tougher as the Runners play 6 of their next 7 games on the road, including Thursday night's game vs. RCSJ Cumberland at Rowan University. They will meet a solid group of GSAC opponents in the stretch, including No. 1 ranked Brookdale on Jan. 26th.

"Playing good defense will be the key for us," said Casey. "We need to continue to up our game defensively against the teams we're about to face."
