SEASON PREVIEW: Men's Basketball to Count on Experience, Depth in Upcoming 2021-22 Campaign

SEASON PREVIEW: Men's Basketball to Count on Experience, Depth in Upcoming 2021-22 Campaign

There is a positive feeling about Roadrunner men's basketball for the upcoming Winter 2021-22 season -- and with good reason.

Third-year coach Will Logan and his staff enjoyed a solid recruiting season, and the Runners are poised to bounce back and enjoy a winning campaign. The season opens tonight with a home match vs. D-II Delaware Tech in a 7 pm start to kick off the Inaugural NJ/Delaware Tip-Off Classic.

"We feel we had an excellent recruiting year," said Logan. "We have more depth at every position, and that will be crucial in our success in the event of injuries. And our practices have been very competitive"

Sophomore guard Nick Sambour, a seasoned veteran who played at Williamstown High School, will lend the most experience in the team's starting lineup. He again hopes to provide double-digit scoring production and solid defense along with team leadership.

Others who will play key roles includes Bucks County transfer Laddis Taylor, a guard/forward; freshman guard Quantavious Rogers, guard Daniel Wellington, and guard Khayri Ransom

"We are very deep at the guard positiion -- we have a lot of experience and potential scoring punch," said Logan. "We look forward to seeing how far these players will develop."
