Roadrunners Take Control Early, Defeat RCSJ Cumberland for Second Straight Win

Sophomore forward Laddis Taylor pumped in 24 points to lead four players in double figures, lifting the Roadrunner Men's Basketball team to a 77-57 triumph over RCSJ Cumberland at Rowan University on Tuesday night.

The Runners captured their second straight win to even their record at 3-3 this season.

Also finishing in twin figures for Coach Will Logan's team were guard Khayri Ransom with 15, forward Jeremy Young with 12 and guard Nick Sambour with 10. Guard Quantavious Rogers also chipped in with 9 points.

Taylor connected on 9 of 11 shots from the field along with 6 rebounds while Young added 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

Logan's team, raced to a 17-point halftime advantage at 43-26 and never looked back.

"We had a great defensive effort, and that was a key factor," said Logan.

The Runners will be off over the Thanksgiving break and will next host Union County on Nov. 23 in a 5 pm start.
