Wellington, Taylor, Young Lead Roadrunner Triumph Over Delaware County

From start to finish, the Roadrunner Men's Basketball team proved to be in control as three players tossed in 15 points apiece to lead an 87-56 triumph over Delaware County Community College for their second straight triumph.

RCSJ's Daniel Wellington, Laddis Taylor and Jeremy Young netted 15 each while sophomore guard Nick Sambour added 11 to lead the way as the Runners evened their record at 5-5 overall. Taylor added five steals and six rebounds while Wellington also was solid on defense with four steals.

The Runners held a 41-24 halftime advantage and built on that lead with a 46-32 surge in the second half.

After dropping a heartbreaking one-point contest to No. 1 nationally ranked Montgomery County (PA) during the Roadrunner Classic, the Runners are hoping to emerge into a contender in Garden State Athletic Conference and Region 19 competition. Coach Will Logan's team has won four of their last six contests.

"We're a young, talented team and we've had trouble finishing games -- but we've made a lot of progress and hope to qualify for the Region playoffs," said Logan.

They will see where they stand when they host a tough Middlesex College team on Saturday, Dec. 11 in a 2 pm start.
