Josh Randall Enjoys Breakout Game as Roadrunner Men's Basketball Edges Atlantic Cape on Road

Following a season-opening loss, the Roadrunner Men's Basketball team has quickly caught fire.

The Runners continued their early season surge Tuesday night with a solid 91-87 road win over Atlantic Cape to secure a key Region 19 and GSAC victory. The win was their third straight and improved their overall record to 3-1.

Freshman forward Josh Randall led a balanced offensive attack with 34 points and 11 rebounds while converting 9 of 9 from the foul line. He was supported by 14 points from Eriq Campbell, 10 from Quantavious Rogers, 9 from Khayri Ransom and 8 from P.J. Boyette.

"They (Atlantic Cape) couldn't focus on one person because we were able to spread things out," said head coach Rich Casey. "We hope to show that we're 10 players deep. The players are really buying into the program."

The Runners built a commanding 15-point second half lead, and withstood a late Bucs' rally to seal the win.

"Overall we played great defense and it allowed us to control the pace and control the game," said Casey. "The assistant coaches did a good job if settling the players into a good defensive routine."

Next up for the Runners will be a tough opponent in Community College of Philadelphia in a 7 pm start at home.
